Nurse Vancouver is a unique collaboration of Health Authorities in British Columbia who have come together to recruit to fill nursing vacancies across Greater Vancouver. In British Columbia, the provincial government sets province-wide goals, standards and performance agreements for health service delivery by the health authorities, who in turn manage and deliver health services through acute care centres, community home health, public health and specialty health care services. Fraser Health (FH)

  • Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Emergency, Cardiac Surgery ICU, Post Anesthetic Care Unit, and Operating Room

Providence Health Care (PHC)

  • Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurses - Older Adult Intensive Treatment, Youville Residence, Vancouver BC

Older Adult Behaviour Stabilization Unit

Providence Health Care is looking for experienced nurses to provide intensive person-centered dementia care to older adults (65 years and up) with serious dementia resulting in psychiatric symptoms and challenging behaviours.

Nurses work in an interdisciplinary team, providing education and support for clients and families. Located in central Vancouver, BC, within the Youville Residence, the 37-bed facility is estimated to open October/November 2011. Staffing is currently underway.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training and Experience
Registered Nurse with current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia or, in Residential Care and Mental Health a Registered Psychiatric Nurse
Current practicing registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia.
Completion of the Basic Cardiac Life Support Course, Level C.
Two (2) years’ recent related experience working with individuals with severe and persistent psychiatric illness and/or older adults with behavioral and psychological symptoms (BPSD).

  • Perioperative/OR Nurses

We are looking for Operating Room Nurses to qualify you must hold post-basic Operating Room education and 3 - 5 years recent experience in the operating room with both scrub and circulating experience. The applicant must be registered or able to be registered with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia. As well as have completed a Basic Cardiac Life Support Course, Level C.

  • Post Anaesthetic Recovery- PACU/Emergency Department & ICU RN’s

To qualify you must hold a post graduate critical care course or two years' recent experience in an equivalent setting. The applicant must be registered or able to be registered with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia. As well as have completed a Basic Cardiac Life Support Course, Level C.

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)

  • Mental Health Nurses – Tertiary Mental Health - Vancouver and Gibsons, BC

Our campuses of care are located at UBC Hospital and Vancouver General Hospital in Vancouver and in Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training & Experience
Diploma in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing plus two (2) years’ recent related experience working with individuals with severe and persistent psychiatric illness. Current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia (CRPNBC). Valid BC Drivers License. Local area travel may require the use of a personal vehicle. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.
